Mike Davies is a conference speaker, church pastor, building surveyor and local councillor.
He was born in Folkestone, Kent, his father was a Royal Marine and his mother a school teacher within the Royal Navy
Shortly after being born the family, which included Mike and his three older brothers, moved to Singapore. From Singapore the family were transferred to Plymouth (England) where Mike received most of his education, although in the later years the family moved back to Kent where he finished his education.
Mike's parents divorced when he was four years old.
Mike has worked for various UK Government departments including HM Revenue & Customs, been a consultant for two of the world's leading accountancy firms, headed up his own accountancy practice for many years before focusing on building surveying, pastoring, and politics.
In January 2000 he and his wife, Justine, planted what is now 'Inspiration - Church of the Nations' into Okehampton. Mike is now responsible for the oversight of the Okehampton church along with several others in the UK.
He is keen to see Christians and churches alike, being involved in local community. Mike is a trustee of both national and local charities and was the Mayor of Okehampton for two consecutive years 2012/13 & 2013/14. He is actively involved in politics and is Deputy Chairman (Political) of the Central Devon Conservative Association.
Mike was elected to West Devon Borough Council in May 2015 and represents the ward of Okehampton North. We was previously an Okehampton Town Councillor for 10 years.
Mike and Justine have a nine year old son, Joshua.
